Statement of Faith

Lifestream Networks and its staff affirm the following Statement of Faith:

We believe . . .

Jesus Christ is the only way, the truth and the life and no one can access the one and only true God except through Jesus Christ.  For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.   (John 14:6, 1 Timothy 2:5 NKJV)

The Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, divinely inspired, inerrant, entirely trustworthy, and the only supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.  God’s commandments are holy and God’s promises are “yes and amen” through Messiah. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

We believe in the God of the Bible – the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  The Almighty is One and has manifested Himself to us in three persons (or witnesses):  the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

God the Father, the first person of the Divine Trinity, is infinite Spirit – sovereign, eternal, unchangeable in all His attributes.  He is worthy of honor, adoration, and obedience. (Genesis 1:1, Psalms 147:5, Proverbs 15:3, John 10:30)

The Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His divine miracles, His vicarious death on the cross, His bodily resurrection from the dead and His personal return in power and glory. (Matthew 1:22, 23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14, 15; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4; Romans 1:3, 4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14, 15; Titus 2:13)

The Holy Spirit, by whose filling and indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ.  The Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to all believers; however, the manifestation of any particular gift is not required as evidence of salvation. (2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16, 17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:1)

The salvation of lost and sinful man through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith, apart from works, a free gift of God’s grace, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.  That the work completed at Calvary by our Lord provides a salvation that touches humanity: spirit, soul and body.  The new birth for the spirit, a sound mind for the soul, and healing for the body. (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8, 9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1)

The Believer’s Water Baptism, according to Matthew 28:19, as the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus

Satan, who exists as a personal, malignant being who acts as a tempter and accuser, for whom the place of eternal punishment was prepared, where all who die outside of Christ shall be confined in conscious torment for eternity. (John 10:10, Isaiah 14:12, Revelation 20:2)

The family as mandated in the Word of God, which is the union of a man and a woman.  This is the divine model which has been revealed as God’s design and intent for mankind.  (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9)

The personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ, the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal damnation. (1 Thessalonians 4:16, Revelation 22:12, Matthew 24:44)
